404 – Eggtown

Review:

This episode is dull.  It’s very necessary, but it’s quite boring.  It does answer the question from the end of season 3, how did Kate get free of those pesky murder charges?  But beyond that Kate’s story was dragged out.

I did like three scenes in this episode though.

The first one was the part with Diane speaking to Kate.  I believe that Diane is a vitally important character and finding out that she’s stayed alive, miraculously, was quite interesting to me.

The second one was when Miles talked to Ben trying to get money out of hm in exchange for silence.

The third was the memory game that Charlotte was playing with Daniel.  I find that scene to be extremely important and I’m sure it will have a big bearing on Daniel’s season 5 storyline.

But I can’t ignore that this episode was sub-par.  4.0/10.0

320 – The Man Behind the Curtain

Review:

After rewatching this episode I noticed that it is the basis of many of my theories and many of other peoples theories too.  This episode is wonderfully vital and full of info.  I think everyone should rewatch it because it is insanely important.

We see Ben’s childhood with the Dharma Initiative.  We see the Dharma Initiative!!  We also see The Purge.

In the main timeline we see Ben starting to lose authority with The Others.  Locke takes full advantage of his new upper hand against Ben.  Locke get’;s to meet Jacob.  And we get to see him for half a second.

And at the very end Locke gets shot.

Oh and Juliet comes clean to the beach camp.

Insane episode 10.0/10.0

315 – Left Behind

Review:

This episode was alright.  The main story with Juliet shackled to Kate was interesting but not very memorable.  This episode combined with the next one make for a very interesting Juliet story, but on it’s own this episodes main storyline is pretty weak.

Luckily that’s not all that was going on.  The writers threw Smokey into this episode to spruce it up and they also had a great flashback.  The flashback is even more important after season four.  It’s very likely that Kate met with Cassidy again off-screen in the season four flashforwards.  Hopefully we get to see what that meeting was like in season 5.

Since I can’t get enough of Smokey and flashback crossovers are almost always interesting AND this episode had a slight amount of Diane (who I believe is important) AND it sets up a very fun Juliet episode next, I won’t give this episode a low score.  8.0/10.0

209 – What Kate Did

Review:

I Like that the writers weren’t at all subtle about this episode.  We all wanted to know so they promised to tell us and they did in the third scene.

This episode is jam packed full of info.  Obviously we find out what Kate did, but we also find out that her “real” father isn’t her realfather (somehow I had missed that).  Also we find out why Kate can’t commit to Sawyer.  Locke and Eko watch the missing piece from the Swan Orientation film.  Eko also helps Locke to see that not everything is fate or destiny.  And in the last scene, Michael talks to Walt on the Swan’s computer.  Oh and Kate and Sawyer see a horse.

You couldn’t ask for more info in an episode.  And it is very well done.  Also as a bonus they pretty much skip Shannon’s funeral!  Another classic episode 9.5/10

I came up with an interesting new theory about Kate, Diane and Ben.  Read on (it’s at the bottom).
